• Check if the vehicle's installed radio has line-in and/or mute connector pins.
Properly installed and using the car specific Wiring Harness or the
Universal Wiring Harness as per the instructions of this Installation
Manual, the radio will be muted automatically when receiving or making a
call. If none of these connector pins are available on the radio, you need to
purchase the optional Radio Muting accessory as listed under Optional
Accessory Parts of this Installation Manual.
• In the following cases you will have to use an additional speaker for
connecting to the VoiceCom 1000™ system:
» If there are no radio/speakers installed in the vehicle;
» If the car radio's installed speakers are not to be used;
» If the car radio's speaker output power exceeds 35 Watts (sine-wave)
per channel and the car radio does not have line-in connector pins;
» If the installed car radio is operating with powered speaker systems and
the car radio does not have line-in connector pins.
In any of such cases an Auxiliary Speaker of nominal 5 Watts and 4 Ohms
impedance has to be selected and purchased, as listed under the Optional
Accessory Parts of this Installation Manual. To avoid acoustic feedback the
auxiliary speaker has to be mounted at least 32 inches (80 cm) away from the
microphone and should not face it directly. For proper installation of the Auxiliary
Speaker please refer to the installation instructions enclosed with this unit.

vehicle!

Don't nick, cut or pull existing car wiring harnesses.
When selecting mounting locations for the various components of the VoiceCom
1000™ system, check if the cable lengths allow easy connection of all the
individual components with each other. Observe in addition the following
