Always keep your hands out of the path of the cutting blades. Avoid
awkward hand positions where a sudden slip could cause your hand to
move into the path of the cutting blades.
Always remove the plug from the power source before adjusting or
changing the blades and then rotating the swivel head.
Then warnings, precautions and instructions discussed in this Manual cannot cover
all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by
the operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built
into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.

7 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING! The voltage specifications on the rating plate must
correspond with the supply voltage. If the shear motor is
stalled or any other function failure, please unplug shear
immediately.
7.1

Test Run

Before performing any cutting operations, test run the tool.
Connect the tool to a power source and squeeze the trigger
If everything appears to be in working order, you are ready to set up a cut.
7.2

Swivel Head Function

WARNING! Remove the plug from the power source before
adjusting the swivel head.
WARNING! Wear heavy duty protective gloves when adjusting
the cutting head. The blades are sharp and can pinch your
fingers, causing serious injury.
To allow the handle to be positioned so it will not interfere with the cutting area,
the aluminium head on your electric shear is capable of rotating 360°.
To Adjust swivel head:
1.
Loosen the swivel head screw (7) using the 4mm hex key 16). (Fig. 2)
NOTE: Rotate the screw two turns counter clockwise.

Grasp the body of the tool with one hand and the body of the swivel head (8)
with the other hand and rotate the swivel head to the desired position.

Re-tighten the swivel head screw.
7.3

LED Work light (Fig.4)

To turn the LED work light ON, press the LED work light button (3) once.
(Fig. 4).
To turn the LED work light OFF, press the LED work light button a second
time.
