Unable to connect to my SlingCatcher from the SlingCatcher
Desktop software
1. Make sure that your PC is properly connected to your router.
2. If you are using a wired Ethernet connection, make sure that the Ethernet cable
is firmly connected to SlingCatcher and to your router. If you are using a wireless
connection, make sure that it's set up and connected properly.
3. Make sure that your network is on. If the network light on the front of

1. Make sure that SlingCatcher is connected to your home network correctly
(See the previous section).
2. Make sure that your Slingbox is set up correctly. A Slingbox cannot be set up
using SlingCatcher. You must use SlingPlayer (PC or Mac) to set up a Slingbox.

Slingbox documentation from: http://support.slingmedia.com.
Problems installing a USB storage device
1. Make sure that your device is USB 2.0 compliant. Devices using USB 1.1 or
USB OTG (on-the-go) are not supported. Refer to the user manuals of these
devices for more information. These are often available on the manufacturer's
web site.
2. Check your external USB storage device and its cables. Many USB 2.0 drives
require a separate external power supply.
3. Ensure your USB 2.0 storage device has at a minimum 1GB of storage
available.
As a last resort:
Reset your router and cable or DSL modem by unplugging both units and
plugging them in again after waiting 30 seconds. Then, press and hold the Reset
button on the back of SlingCatcher for longer than 5 seconds to return it to
factory default settings.

SlingCatcher is not lit, go to the SlingCatcher Desktop main
menu and press the down arrow button to select Settings.
Next, select Networking and Storage to check your network
connection.
