    JAX-9B W-FAX Installation Manual Pictorial Indication In this Installation Manual and on the product, we use various pictorial indications to handle the product safely and correctly and to prevent you from harming yourself and other people or damaging those properties beforehand.

    Remove dirt and dust on the surface if any and wipe it with a clean dry cloth. Use the recording paper (6ZPTS00108) as specified by JRC. The use of any other unspecified paper may cause recording density blurs, abnormal paper feed, much dust, resulting in the damage of the recording device.

    Start signal is the signal transmitted at the beginning of the facsimile Start signal broadcasting to indicate the start of the broadcast. JAX-9B uses it for the automatic setting of the index of cooperation (IOC) and starts the automatic recording by receiving this signal. Phase signal Phase signal is the signal transmitted next to the start signal.

    • “BK” is an abbreviation of “BREAK”, which means the disconnection of the antenna from JAX-9B. If JAX-9B is installed with a radio transmitting equipment such as a HF transceiver, the BK signal sent from the transceiver disconnects the antenna from JAX-9B and protects the internal receiver against the inductive radio waves from the transceiver.

    0.3m 4) BK signal BK signal drives the relay of JAX-9B which controls the antenna line. The relay of JAX-9B is driven by +24Vdc. Connect the BK signal to JAX-9B after confirming the voltage of BK. 5)When using existing equipment When connecting existing equipment that has already been in use inboard such as antennas and external receivers, etc., connect them to JAX-9B after confirming the result of single-equipment operation is normal.

    2.8.2. Setting operation For connecting to the Remote Maintenance System, it is unnecessary to operate JAX-9B. JAX-9B outputs the maintenance data to the Remote Maintenance server only by connecting the output port of JAX-9B to the input port of Remote maintenance Server.

    2) Remove JAX-9B from the mount base. Refer to the clause 2.2. 3) Unscrew the four screws for fixing the cover to the main frame. Remove the cover from JAX-9B. 4) A speaker and two volumes are fixed on the cover. Disconnect the cable with speaker and volumes from J501 connector on the control board.
