Getting Started

1. Before first use.
Remove all adhesive remains and
gently rub with a dampened cloth. We
recommend that you rinse the water tank
by operating the steam in a horizontal
position away from your linen for one
minute. When the iron is turned on for
the first time, harmless vapours/odours
may be emitted temporarily. This will
cease quickly.
4. Setting the right temperature.
Always take care in checking the
garments laundry care label before
commencing to iron. Always start with
ironing garments requiring a lower
temperature first. The iron will always
require a few minutes to adjust and cool
down from a higher temperature setting
to a lower one. When selecting a lower
temperature setting while in use, wait
for the temperature light to turn red and
green again before starting to iron .
The iron is equipped with an anti-drip
device to prevent water from dripping
out of the soleplate when the
temperature selected is too low.

2. Filling the water tank.
Make sure the plug is removed from
the power outlet. Turn the temperature
selector (J) to '0' and open the water
filling inlet cover (C). Let the iron rest on
the heel. Using the beaker provided, pour
water up to the maximum level indicator
(B). Close the cover until it clicks.
Caution: Do not exceed the maximum
water level as indicated on the water
tank (B).
Type of water to be used: This iron
has been designed to use normal tap
water. If the tap water in your area is very
hard, you can fill the tank with 50% tap
water and 50% bottled distilled water.
Never use distilled water only. Never put
scented water, vinegar or ironing aids in
the water tank. This may cause brown
spitting and staining.
5. Using the spray mist and steam
boost function.
Ensure the water tank is at least 1/4
full. Use the spray mist to pre-dampen
fabrics by pressing the spray button (E)
several times to release a fine mist. To
use the steam boost function, ensure
that the tank is at least 1/2 full and the
temperature selector is set on ••• or higher
and wait for the temperature indicator
light (H) to turn to green. Press the steam
boost button (F) 2 or 3 times to prime the
pump. Always wait for a few seconds after
each shot of steam before pressing the
button again.
3. Plug the power cable into a power
outlet.
Set the temperature selector (J) according
to the fabric type by referring to the
garment label or the ironing chart. The
temperature indicator light (H) turns red.
When the temperature indicator light
turns green, the iron is ready to use. The
light will switch between red and green
as the iron is maintaining the selected
temperature.
6. Vertical steaming.
Vertical steam boost function is ideal
for steaming curtains, suits, dresses and
delicate fabrics. Set the temperature
selector to ••• or higher and wait for the
temperature indicator light (H) to turn to
green. Hang the item on a hanger (always
use a hanger, never use on a garment
while someone is wearing it), hold the
iron at a distance of 10 cm from the fabric
and press the steam boost button (F) 2
or 3 times. Always wait for a few seconds
after each shot of steam before pressing
the button again. Never direct steam at
someone.
