Open „Device settings" first.
Here you can allocate a name to the
thermometer and change the PIN.
Caution: Do not forget this PIN, since it is
always requested for encrypted transfer
and for connections using the BlueTool
software. Select SPP as the ComHardware
mode and deactivate the connection
indicator. Confirm the settings with OK.
Now open „Master settings".
Select the checkboxes in front of "Master tries -
to establish a connection automatically" and "Master
tries to establish a connection while starting". The
Remote BTA field contains the address of the
current computer.
Note: Only if you wish that the thermometer should
respond to another computer (e.g. PDA or Notebook)
later, enter the Bluetooth address of this computer.
The same naturally applies to the PIN in this window.
It is then mandatory to connect to the other computer.
Therefore, please remember it well. Click OK. First click „Save settings" in the main
window - the data is transferred to the thermometer.
You can verify the current settings with „Update". Then exit the program. Now reset the
DIL switch 5 in the handle of the thermometer to OFF. Press the DOWN key below the
display. Wait till the device switches off automatically (approximately 7 s).
