Troubleshooting

Problem
The camera has no
power.
The camera won't
take a picture.
Possible cause
The camera is off.
The batteries are
discharged.
The batteries are
inserted incorrectly.
The AC adapter is not
plugged in.
Ensure that the
Standby LED is on and
is not flashing.
Is the FlashCard full?
Is the CompactFlash
card inserted
correctly?
Is the camera
connected to a
computer?
Solution
Make sure that the
main switch is not set
to OFF.
Replace batteries
Check the battery
orientation.
Ensure that the AC
adapter is plugged into
a working outlet. Also,
make sure that the AC
adapter has the correct
specifications for the
camera.
If the LED is flashing,
wait until it emits a
steady light before
taking the picture.
If the Flashcard is full,
you cannot take any
more pictures. Delete
some pictures to free
up memory.
If the CompactFlash
card is inserted
incorrectly, a message
is displayed in the LCD
status display.
The camera's buttons
are not functional
when connected to a
PC. Disconnect the
camera to take more
pictures.
