Usually,againlevelbetween30%and60%willsuffice,butincreasing thegainmayberequiredfordeeperwatersorverysoftbottoms.For extremeshallowwater,lessthan3feet,reducethegainnearthe minimumsetting. T-BOXONLY:WhenusingtheWide40degreeangle,youwillneed turnupthegainhigherthanwhenusingthe20degreeangle.Thisis normal,astheconeofsoundiscoveringtwicethearea. ThissettingallowsSonarPhonetocontrolthedepthrangesettingfor you.Itwilldoit'sbesttokeepthebottominviewatalltimes, switchingdepthrangesasneeded.ChangethissettingtoOFFand youcancontroltherangesettingmanually.
