Notes:
♦ The fault table is arranged according to the 5-digit fault
code shown on the left.
♦ The SAE code (e.g. P0107) which is positioned on the
right next to the fault code, should be ignored (applies
at present only to USA).
♦ Explanations regarding fault types (e.g. „open or short
circuit to earth“):

Possible cause of fault
♦ Short circuit to earth
♦ Sender -G72 faulty
♦ Short circuit to positive
♦ Sender -G72 faulty
♦ Coolant temperature
sender -G62 supplying
implausible signal be-
cause of loose contact, or
corrosion caused by
moisture in connector
♦ Signal input in engine
control unit faulty (control
unit faulty)
♦ If components are shown as faulty:
Test cables and plug connections to these components,
and also earth cables of the system according to the
current flow diagram. Replace component only if no
fault is also found in this case. This applies in particular
to faults which are shown as „sporadic“ (SP).
