Whether you are away on business or on holiday, in the UK or abroad, you can keep
in touch with Orange. Pay-as-you-go customers cannot currently make and receive
calls abroad.

you travel abroad. Orange now has
network agreements around the world
making it simpler for you to stay in touch
across all five continents. What's more,

activating your phone
To activate your phone so you can make
and receive calls abroad, call Orange
Customer Services on 159 from your
Orange phone at least 24 hours before
you travel. There is no connection fee or
monthly charge, but connection is
subject to status and a deposit may be
required.

If you're calling abroad from the UK it
makes sense to use your Orange phone.
Orange's low fixed price rates make it
simple to work out exactly what you will
be charged, so now you can stay in
touch around the world.

International Text Messaging
from the UK
You can send text messages from the
UK to a foreign network using your
Orange phone. The text messages will
cost the same as a standard text
message sent to another UK network
from within the UK, and will be charged
at your standard Service Plan rate.

from any other phone to activate your
phone so you can make and receive
calls abroad.

Set up your Answer Phone PIN at least
24 hours before you go abroad, so you
can listen to your messages as usual
when you are abroad.

If you want to use Every Phone
abroad you must set up your Every
Phone PIN before you leave the UK by
calling 330 from your Orange phone
or 07973 100 330 from any other
phone.

If you want to use Answer Fax abroad
you must have it activated on your
account at least 24 hours before you
leave the UK. Call 150 from your
Orange phone or 07973 100 150 from
any other phone for details.

Remove any temporary bars on
international calls using the menu
options on your phone.

Set up any diverts on your Orange
phone before you leave the UK as you
will not be able to do it when you are
abroad.

Make sure that the frequently used
numbers in your Phonebook are saved
with the international dialling codes you
need, i.e. +44, minus the leading zero
from the area code for calls back to the
UK.

For safety and security, always pack your
Orange phone in your hand luggage and
switch it off before boarding a plane.
Let others know you are abroad so they
can expect a different ring tone when
they call you or, they might hear a
recorded message in a foreign language
if you are out of coverage.
