Pieces jamming the feed hopper can only be removed safely when the engine has been
stopped and the spark plug HT lead disconnected.

Before use, make sure that the bolts on the blade and fixed blade are tight. After the first one
hour of use check that all nuts, bolts and fixing are still secure.

alcohol or medications. A moment of inattention while operating this machine may result in
serious personal injury.

Use proper personal safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety equipment such
as dust mask, nonslip safety boots, hard hat, gloves and hearing protection used for
appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.

Dress appropriately. DO NOT wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and
gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can get caught in moving
parts.

Always wear earplugs or ear muffs to protect your ears.

Do not start the engine until the machine is in the cutting position next to the stump.

Do not overreach. Keep a secure footing and balance at all times. This enables better control
of the stump grinder in unexpected situations.

Check stumps to be removed for embedded nails, wire, metal fence posts and other metallic
objects. Also, check for rocks or other buried impediments which may be thrown dangerously
or cause unexpected machine movements when hit by the cutting wheel.
