  • Page 4 Charging the battery and powering up Your new PAV8-UHF main unit may arrive with you with the internal battery charged. Before connecting to the mains, switch the unit on and see if the power LED (24) lights green and check the adjacent battery charge status LEDs. If the battery charge LED is red (low), you will need to charge the battery before using away from a mains supply.

    External Inputs In addition to the PAV8-UHF’s own UHF microphones, two 6.3mm jack inputs (19, 20) are provided for connecting external wired or wireless microphones, which are both governed by the MIC VOL control (6). For guitarists, MIC 1 input can accept a guitar input instead of a mic.

    Media Player The PAV8-UHF has a built-in media player which has different options for media types. Disc Player Mode The media player can play audio CDs (including CD+G) and video DVDs. Insert a disc into the slot (3) and the mechanism will automatically feed the disc into the player.

    Your sending device should state that it is connected to “PA SYS” for audio output. Play audio on the sending device and check for output through the PAV8-UHF speakers. The PAV8-UHF Bluetooth receiver has duplex Play/Pause control over the sending device.
