3 To remove the heat sink:
a Loosen the captive screws that secure the heat sink to the system board [1, 2, 3, 4,5, 6, 7,8].

retention screws and cannot be fully removed.

Installing the heat sink

1 Align the screws on the heat sink with the screw holders on the system board.
2 Tighten the captive screws to secure it to the system board.
NOTE: Secure the screws in the order of the callout numbers [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8].
