5-speed manual transmission
CAUTION
Do not apply any undue lateral force
to the gear lever when changing from
5th to 4th gear. This could lead to the
inadvertent selection of 2nd gear and can
cause damage to the transmission.
Selecting reverse gear

Do not engage reverse gear when the
vehicle is moving. This can cause
damage to the transmission.
Note: Fully depress the clutch pedal and
wait for three seconds before you select
reverse gear.

Apply the brakes before moving the
selector lever and keep them applied
until you are ready to move off.
Select reverse only when your vehicle
is stationary and the engine is at idle
speed.
Note: A cold engine has a higher idle speed.
This will increase the tendency for your
vehicle to creep when you have selected a
drive gear.
The selected gear will be shown in the
information display. If it flashes, apply the
brakes or press the accelerator pedal to
move off.
Push the lever to the left (drive mode) to
select manual drive or automated drive.
