Service List
The list below roughly describes the application of each service. You can make full use of the Bluetooth
wireless function by applying these services effectively.
Service
Serial Service Select this service when connecting to Bluetooth
Communication with COM connection is available. Mainly used for connecting to
a personal computer and surrounding devices.

personal computer.
Dial-up Select this service when operating the internet or e-mail. Mainly used for
networking connecting to a Modem Station and mobile phone.
Service See "Connecting to Modem Station" for details on how to connect to a Modem
Station.
FAX Service Select this service when using FAX function. Mainly used for connecting to a
Modem Station.

Station.
OBEX File Select this service when using file transfer function. Mainly used for connecting
transfer to a personal computer. Network setup is not required.

OBEX Object Select this service when using object push function. Mainly used for connecting
push Service to a personal computer, PDA and mobile phone.

LAN access Select this service when connecting to a LAN in the office with LAN access
point Service point.
IrMC Select this service when exchanging PIM (personal information management)
Synchronization data. Mainly used for connecting to PDA and mobile phone.
Service Not available with only Plugfree.
NDIS Enables building up a network by connecting multiple Bluetooth
networking through IP addresses. Mainly used for connecting to a personal computer.
Service Setup of a network and setup for sharing is required. See "Setting Up A
Network" and "Sharing Setup" for more information.
