Operations
This chapter describes the process from turning on the power to starting scanning and
cleaning. For directions how to operate the OCR scanner from the host, refer to the
operation manual.
2.1 Power ON / OFF

CAUTION
Before connecting/disconnecting the
USB cable, or turning power the ON,
the OCR scanner should be turned
OFF. Insert and connect the USB
connecter firmly.
Control panel
CAUTION
Do not press the Power switch with
OFF ON
force. Your nails may get caught in
the gap between the switch

Turn ON the power by pressing
Power switch
the Power switch.
Self diagnosis will start when the power
is turned ON.
Status of diagnosis is indicated by the
control panel.
Refer to the following page.
① Ensure scanning is completed.
② Check there are no papers left in the
Hopper.
③ Check if the condition LED is
blinking slowly
④
Turn the power OFF by pushing
the Power switch.
CAUTION
When you restore the power, please wait for
about 5 seconds. If you do not wait, sometimes
the device may not be recognized by the OS or
may not start normally. In these cases, turn the
power OFF and wait 5 seconds then turn the
power ON
