For Windows 2000/XP
1. Click My Computer, Control Panel, Network and Dial-up
Connections (Windows 2000) or Network Connections (Windows XP).
2. Right-click the icon for the Prestige and click Properties.
3. In the General tab, select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and then click
Properties.
4. If your ISP does not give you an IP address, select Obtain your IP
address automatically and Obtain your DNS IP address
automatically.
If your ISP gives you a static (or fixed) IP address, select Use the
following IP Address and enter the IP address, subnet mask and default
gateway. If given, enter the DNS IP address.
Then click OK.
5. Close the Local Area Connection Properties window and restart the
computer when prompted.
WAN – Configuring a Dial-Up Connection
For Windows 98/98 SE/Me
1. Click My Computer, Dial-Up Networking, right-click the icon for
Prestige and click Properties.
2. Click the Server Types (Windows 98/98 SE) or Networking (Windows
Me) tab and select TCP/IP.
3. Check your TCP/IP settings and click OK to return to the Dial-up
Networking window.
4. Double-click the icon for the Prestige.
5. Enter only the user name and password provided by your ISP and click
Connect.
For Windows 2000/XP
1. Click My Computer, Control Panel, Network and Dial-up
Connections (Windows 2000) or Network Connections (Windows XP).
2. Right-click the icon for the Prestige and click Properties.
3. In the Networking tab, select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click
Properties.
4. Check your TCP/IP settings and click OK to go back to the Network and
Dial-up Connections (Windows 2000) or Network Connections
(Windows XP) window.
