What is ISIS?
ISIS stands for Image and Scanner
Interface Standard. ISIS, a de facto

(present EMC Corporation) is a system
of software modules, each of which
performs a specific image related
function. ISIS modules are available
to control scanners and printers,
assist in the viewing of images,
compress and convert the format
of image data, and read or write
files containing data. All current

What is TWAIN?
TWAIN stands for Technology Without
Any Interesting Name. TWAIN defines
a standard software protocol and
application-programming interface
(API) for communication between
software applications and image
acquisition devices. All current
