IMPORTANT
Before leaving our factory all our products are
rigorously tested. Your Vaporetto may contain
some residual water in the boiler from the factory
testing.
PREPARATION
1. Unscrew the safety cap (A) (Fig.1) and fill the
boiler with 0.75 l of water, using the jug (13)
and the special funnel (12) (Fig.2).
WARNING: When filling a hot boiler, we re-
commend adding small amounts of water
to avoid the water evaporating instantly
with the risk of burning.
This appliance has been designed to work
with normal tap water.
However, since water contains limescale by
nature, which may cause scaling in the long
run, we recommend using a mixture of 50%
tap water and 50% demineralised water or
treated with water softener systems.
Absolutely do not use distilled water, dryer
condensate water, perfumed water, rain
water, battery water, water from air condi-
tioning systems and the like. Do not use
chemical substances or detergents.
2. Screw the cap firmly back into place with care.
Make sure that the safety cap (A) is correc-
tly screwed on, otherwise steam could leak
out. In this case turn off the appliance, unplug
it from the mains and wait for it to cool before
screwing the cap back on.
3. Hook the shoulder strap for carrying the devi-
ce (13) into the two eyelets (G) (Fig.3).
4. Open the door of the one-piece socket (E);
insert the moulded plug (3) until a click is
heard (Fig. 4). Make sure that it is firmly con-
nected before proceeding any further. To
release the sheath, simply press the release
key (E1) and at the same time remove the
moulded plug (3).
5. Plug the power cable (F) into a suitable
earthed outlet.
NOTE: when filling, make sure that the water
does not overflow, to avoid wetting the surface on
which your Vaporetto is resting
WARNING: Never leave the filling bottle or the
funnel resting on the mouth of the boiler, with
the product connected to the power supply,
since this could cause burns.
1a. Press the ON/OFF switch (B). The ON lamp
(C) and the steam pressure indicator lamp (D)
will both light up.
