6-6. INSTALLING HANDS

6-6-1. Procedures
Note:
• "HAND POSITION DETECTION FOR INSTAL-
LATION" is available. Before press fitting the
hands, Perform the above operation written in
P.17.
• After installing the hands, be sure to perform
P.8."ADJUSTING THE BASELINE POSI-
TION OF HANDS" in order to check and adjust
the accuracy of the baseline position.
1. Preparation
1) Insert a battery
2. Short-circuit the MP terminal
Short-circuit the MP and VSS terminals using a metal object like a staple. Keep both terminals
short-circuited.
3. Perform "HAND POSITION DETECTION FOR INSTALLATION"
If the hand needs to be re-installed after this step, be sure to perform "HAND POSITION DE-
TECTION FOR INSTALLATION".
4. Press fit the mode hand
Press fit the mode hand to the 12:00
position.
• accuracy : Within ±0.5°
5. Press fit the 24-hour hand
Press fit the 24-hour hand to
the 12:00 position.
• accuracy : Within ±0.5°
