Prius '04-'09
Programming Fob keys on '04-'09 Prius is a TWO STEP procedure.
STEP #1- Program the Immobilizer so that the FOB starts the vehicle.
STEP #2- Program the wireless functions so that the RKE buttons on the FOB lock and un-
lock the vehicle and if it's a Smart Access model, the Fob will allow the car to start without
inserting the fob in the slot.
QUICK RESET Immobilizer: ("NEW" Available on Type 2 Immobilizer)
This function allows you to erase all Fobs and to place the immobilizer in "Auto Learn Mode"
instantly without having to go thru the 16 or 30 minute security delay found on the older regu-
lar Reset. On Prius this function is used when the customer has lost all their Fobs and you
want to program 1 or 2 Keys.
RESET Immobilizer: (Old way of resetting with security delay, now replaced with QUICK
RESET).
This function allows you to erase all keys and to place the immobilizer in the "Auto Learn
Mode". This function is used when the customer has lost all their Fobs and you want to pro-
gram in more than 2 keys (up to 4 Max.)
PROGRAM KEY: This function allows you to add a Fob to the car's immobilizer system as
long as you have an existing pre-programmed Fob to start with.
ERASE KEYS: This function allows you to erase all Fobs except the key in the ignition lock at
the time.
Note: These functions ONLY pertain to the cars immobilizer the RKE and or Prox functions
