6 Rechargeable Battery

The portable DVD player comes with an integrated Lithium-Ion battery. Please fully
charge the battery before first use. Charging time is usually approx. 5 hours. When
fully charged the unit operates approx. 2 (DVB-T) to 2.5 (DVD) hours. The actual time
of operation also depends on the used disc type. Fully charge the battery before the
unit is not used for a longer period of time.
6.1

Handling Rechargeable Batteries

Fully charge a new rechargeable battery.
Only use rechargeable batteries at temperatures between 0°C and 40°C. Do not expose
rechargeable batteries to high temperatures or direct sunlight.
Do not throw rechargeable batteries into fire or water.
Ensure adequate air circulation around the unit. Do not place the unit on soft surfaces, such as
sofas, carpets and the like.
Do not short-circuit the contacts.
Do not disassemble the rechargeable battery.
In charging mode the indicator lights up red if the unit is turned off.
After the charging process is completed it lights up green.
In on mode the LED lights up orange when charging.
With low battery status "WARNING LOW BATTERY" is displayed. Some minutes later the DVD
player will automatically turn off.

Only charge the battery in off mode. This significantly decreases the charging
time and extends the lifespan of the battery.
Fully charge the battery before first use.
Caution
Do not touch the contacts with metal objects. This will turn the battery into
standby mode. To exit standby mode connect the DVD player with attached
battery to power supply.

Charge Battery

Use the supplied mains power adapter for charging the battery. Connect the adapter
to the DVD player as described in chapter 4.5.
