Factory settings

All your settings are reset to the factory settings. After you click
and confirm again, the system is
restarted. The installation program prompts you to install the network again.

Deleting the data path for owner commands

The video server offers support for user-defined control for devices with serial interfaces. Using URL commands in
ASCII format, you can also address the serial port of the video server via your own homepage. For a detailed
description, see the URL commands in the Video server section.

FTP

The video server not only has a web service: it also has an integrated FTP service for simplified system integration.
Depending on the settings on the application page, the video server can send snapshots over a specific time period
to an external server. Via the FTP domain of the video server, the administrator can update the configurations faster.
The files for designing the homepage (GIF) can be read and overwritten. They can be loaded by all users with
administrator privilege. Other files are described below.
Occasional uploading of snapshots to an external FTP server
In sequential mode, the video server sends snapshots according to a configurable interval and duration. If you want
the snapshot files to be updated quickly, omit the date and time suffix. The file name is then video.jpg. If the
snapshot files have the date and time suffix, they can be distinguished better later.

Viewing the system log

The contents of this (System.log) file supply useful information about the configuration and the connections
following a system start. This helps the administrator to find out who had access to the video server and when, since
all network accesses to the video server are recorded with a timestamp.
