9. Remove the four screws that secure the two internal speakers, and then remove the internal speakers
from the chassis.

10. Align the four holes in the two new internal speakers with the corresponding screw holes in the chassis.
Then, install the four screws to secure the internal speakers.
11. Route the internal speaker cables, and then connect the cables to the system board. See "Parts on the
system board" on page 35.
12. Install the two screws to secure the power cord connector.
13. Reinstall the VESA mount bracket. See "Replacing the VESA mount bracket" on page 99.
14. Reinstall the system board shield. See "Replacing the system board shield" on page 98.
15. Reinstall the computer cover. See "Replacing the computer cover" on page 95.

Replacing the thermal sensor

Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the Chapter
1 "Read this first: Important safety information" on page 1.
To replace the thermal sensor, do the following:
1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer. Then,
disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the
computer.
2. Remove the back cover. See "Removing the back cover" on page 90.
3. Remove the computer cover. See "Replacing the computer cover" on page 95.
4. Remove the system board shield. See "Replacing the system board shield" on page 98.
5. Remove the VESA mount bracket. See "Replacing the VESA mount bracket" on page 99.
6. Locate the thermal sensor. See "Major FRUs and CRUs" on page 31.
7. Remove the two screws that secure the power cord connector, and then lift the power cord connector
off the system board for easier access to the thermal sensor cable.
8. Note the routing of the thermal sensor cable, and then disconnect the cable from the system board.
