     Unplug the AC adapter from the outlet, and remove the USB cable from the phone. Charge Using a PC Connection Before using a PC connection to charge your phone, ensure that the computer is turned on. Depending on the type of connection, your phone’s battery may not charge. 1.

    Insert SIM Card The nano SIM card is preinstalled in your HTC One A9. If you need to remove or replace the card, refer to the following instructions. Remember to power off your phone before inserting a SIM card.

    Note: When the screen is locked and you press the Power/Lock button it will only turn off the screen and not the phone. You will need to turn the screen on before you press and hold the Power/Lock button to turn the phone off.

     When you turn the phone on for the first time, you should see a Hands Free Activation screen, which may be followed by a PRL Update screen and a Firmware Update screen.
