POWER SUPPLY

Battery operation

Open the battery compartment by pressing the areas marked with arrows

on the drawing and pushing down the cover.
Insert four batteries (4 x 1.5 V Mignon type, LR6/AM3/AA), observing

the polarity marked in the battery compartment.
Notes:
Remove the batteries when they are flat or when you know that the
device will not be used for a long period of time. When the batteries
are low, a battery symbol appears and flashes in the display. This function
does not work when the mains adapter is plugged into the device.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage resulting from used
batteries.
Environmental note:
Batteries, including those which contain no heavy metal, may not be
disposed of with household waste. Please dispose of used batteries in
an environmentally sound manner. Find out about the legal regulations
which apply in your area.
Inserting back-up batteries
During battery operation, the back-up batteries ensure that the stored
settings are not lost.

Open the battery compartment by pressing the area marked with arrows
on the drawing and pushing down the cover.
When inserting the batteries (2 x 1.5 V, Micro type, LR3/AM4/AAA) in

the small recess in the base of the battery compartment, observe the
correct polarity.
Note:
If no main batteries are inserted and there is no mains power supply,
you have approximately 10 seconds to change the back-up batteries.
Mains operation (with standard 6 V/200 mA
mains adapter)
Check if the mains voltage on the mains adapter type plate corresponds to
your local mains supply. If this is not the case, contact your specialist dealer.
Plug the mains adapter cable into the

device.
Plug the mains adapter into the socket (230 V~, 50/60 Hz).

Notes:
If there are batteries in the device, these are switched off automatically
during mains operation.
The only way to disconnect the mains adapter from the mains supply is
to pull out the plug.
