3. Important Safety Instructions

WARNING – To guard against injury, basic safety precautions should be
observed, including the following:
1. READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
2. DANGER - To avoid possible electric shock, special care should be taken
since water is employed in the use of this equipment. For each of the
following situations, do not attempt repairs yourself; return the appliance
to an authorized service facility for service or discard the appliance.
– lf the appliance falls into the water, DON'T reach for it! First unplug it and
then retrieve it. lf electrical components of the appliance get wet, unplug
the appliance immediately.
– Do not operate any appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, or if it is
malfunctioning or if it is dropped or damaged in any manner.
3. Always unplug an appliance from an outlet when not in use, before
putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. Never yank cord to pull
plug from outlet. Grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.
4. Do not use an appliance for other than intended use. The use of
attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer
may cause an unsafe condition.
5. Read and observe all the important notices on the appliance.

4. General Safety Instructions

– Caution: Dangerous ultraviolet radiation. The rays from the UVC
lamp are a danger to your eyes and skin! Never operate the lamp
of the Bitron outside the casing!
– For your own safety, contact an electrician if you have any questions
or problems!
– Never immerse the device in water!
– Always disconnect the plugs of all devices that are in the water and of
this device before you carry out any work on the device!
– Only operate the Bitron in a horizontal standing/hanging position with the
supports at the bottom.
– Please note: the Bitron is fitted with permanent magnets.Their magnetic
fields can:
– affect pacemakers. People with pacemakers should therefore avoid
contact with the Bitron.
– interfere with electrical and electronic components. Such equipment
should therefore be kept away from the Bitron.
– delete data on data carriers. These should therefore be kept away
from the Bitron.
