7.1.11 SYSTEM COMPUTER PROTECT SPECIFICATION

Control specification of XPROTECT terminal (IC5501-22 pin)
1. Start of detection
The detection starts in 1.5 seconds after the system Power ON (SYSPOW "L→H").
2. End of detection
After the timing of the system Power OFF (SYSPOW2 "H→L"), the detection will not be conducted.
*
After 240ms of the above timing, Power OFF is complete (SYSPOW "H→L").
3. Detection time
At Protect NG, it is determined with over 48 times of consecutive agreement of the 10ms timer (Over 500ms in
the actual operation).
In case of Protect OK, it is determined with one A/D conversion.
4. Detection range
Normal: 0.71Vdd or more (3.55V or more in case of Vdd=5V)
Abnormal: 0.36Vdd or more and less than 0.71Vdd (1.8V or more and less than 3.55V in case of Vdd=5V)
Failure: less than 0.36Vdd (less than 1.8V in case of Vdd=5V)
5. Operation at the detection of abnormity
Power is OFF within 30ms.
Abnormity is indicated by flashing the TIMER LED.
Power ON is enabled immediately after Power OFF.
6. Operation at the detection of a failure
Power is OFF within 30ms.
A failure is indicated by flashing the TIMER LED.
Power ON is disabled for about 1 minute after Power OFF (The key operation is rejected.)
The key mask processing is not conducted during the service test mode even if a failure is detected.
Control specification of 3.3DETECT terminal (VDET) (IC5501-17 pin)

DVD is OFF.
The detection starts in 500ms after (DVDON/OFF "L→H").
2. End of detection
After the timing of the DVD Power OFF (DVDON/OFF "H→L"), the detection will not be conducted.
(During the system Power ON, the detection is not conducted at any Function other than DVD/CD.)
3. Detection time
At Protect NG, it is determined with over 50 times of consecutive agreement of the 10ms timer (Over 500ms in the
actual operation).
In case of Protect OK, it is determined with one A/D conversion.
4. Detection range
Normal: 0.5Vdd or more and 0.85Vdd or less (2.5V or more and 4.25V or less in case of Vdd=5V)
Failure: Voltage of less than 0.5Vdd or greater than 0.85Vdd (voltage of less than 2.5V or greater than 4.25V in case
of Vdd=5V)
5. Operation at the detection of a failure
Power is OFF within 30ms.
A failure is indicated by flashing the TIMER LED.
Power ON is disabled for about 1 minute after Power OFF (The key operation is rejected.)
