When You Cannot Make Clear Copies

This section describes likely causes of and possible solutions for unclear copies.
Problem

Cause
Image density is too high.

The exposure glass or ADF is

• The printed original is
scanned again.
• Original Type Select is
set to [Text / Photo], but
the original features text
and photographs that
the machine cannot
distinguish between.
Solution
Adjust the image density settings. See

On the control panel, select [Auto
Density].
