Tuning to radio stations

Press STANDBY-ON to on, then press
TUNER to select TUNER mode.
➜ Display shows: the waveband and radio
station frequency
➜ If programmed, the display interchangeably
shows the program location and the waveband/
radio station frequency. PROG appears.

Press TUNER once or more to select your
waveband: FM or AM (MW).

Press and hold 4 or ¢ until the frequency
in the display starts running.
➜ The radio automatically tunes to a station of
sufficient reception.
➜ If a FM station is received in stereo,
STEREO is shown.

Repeat step 3 if necessary until you find the
desired radio station.
● To tune to a weak station, press 4 or ¢
briefly and repeatedly until optimal reception is
found.
● To tune to a weak FM station, press STEREO/
MONO on the system once or more until
STEREO disappears.

Changing AM tuning grid

In North and South America the frequency step
between adjacent channels in the AM band are
10 KHz. In the rest of the world this step is
9 KHz. Usually the frequency step has been
preset in the factory for your area if not :

Check the system is switched to standby mode.
(see Basic Functions, Switch on/to
standby)

Press and hold STANDBY-ON until the display
shows10 kHz or 9 kHz.
Helpful hints:
– All preset AM stations will be lost and need to be
reprogrammed.

Storing preset radio stations

You can store up to 40 preset radio stations in
the memory (24 FM and 16AM).

Tune to your desired radio station (see "Tuning
to radio stations").

Press PROGRAM/CLOCK to activate
programming.
➜ Display shows: PROG and current radio
frequency. -- -- flashes for you to enter a preset
number.
