DVD Setup Menu Options

Black Level - turning on/off

This feature is only applicable if you have
set the 'TV TYPE' to 'NTSC' setting (see
page 23.) Turn on this feature will help to
improve the picture quality.

In 'Video Setup Page,' use 34 keys to
highlight { Black Level }, then press 2.
{ On }
Select this to improve the color contrast and
brighten the picture of NTSC discs
{ Off }
Select this to deactivate the feature.

Use 34 keys to select a setting and press
OK to confirm.
TIPS:
The underlined option is the factory default setting.
To return to the previous menu, press 1. To remove the menu, press SETUP MENU.

Closed Captions - turning on/off

Closed captions are data that is hidden in
the video signal on specific discs, invisible
without a special decoder. It shows
sound effects such as "phone ringing" and
"footsteps." Before you select this
function, ensure that the disc contains
closed captions information and your TV
also has this function.

In 'Video Setup Page,' use 34 keys to
highlight { Closed Captions }, then
press 2.
{ On }
Select this to activate the closed captions
feature.
{ Off }
Select this deactivate the feature.

OK to confirm.
