Installation example: Mounting the sensors at the rear license plate
1. The vehicle must be in a neutral parking position during installation. Switch off the
ignition. Disconnect the battery in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's
instructions.
2. The PDC2 is supplied with two sensors which produce ultrasonic sound waves that
measure the distance to obstacles. The coverage of the ultrasonic fields is determined
by the spacing of the sensors. Mount the sensors centrally, with no less than 400mm
between the sensors. The optimum installation-height of the sensors is 550mm from
the ground.
3. Remove the rear license plate holder by loosening the bolts
4. Position the supplied mounting plates (with sensor together) behind the license plate
bracket. And make sure that the fixation screw is also going through one of the holes
of the mounting plates.
5. Put the license plate holder back on the vehicle and fully tighten the bolts.
