Description
Enables or disables GVRP. This protocol supports the dynamic registration
of VLAN port members within this switch and across multiple switches.
(See "Automatic VLAN Registration" on page 4-7.)
Enables or disables IGMP. This protocol allows a host to inform its local
router that it wants to receive transmissions addressed to a specific multi-
cast group. (See "IGMP Snooping and IP Multicast Filtering" on page 4-10.)
Configuration options include:
Disabled: Disables IGMP on this switch.
Passive: The switch just monitors network traffic to determine which hosts
want to receive multicast traffic.
Active:
The switch actively participates in the multicast protocol and can
serve as the "querier," which is responsible for asking hosts if
they want to receive multicast traffic.
