Cause
Optimizer microphone is not connected.
Headphones are connected.
No check items are selected as the
measurement items.
The parameters of this unit are protected.
Cause
Front L/R channel signals are not detected.
A surround channel signal is not detected.
A presence channel signal is not detected.
Only right surround back channel signal is
detected.
Background noise is too loud.
Surround back speakers are connected,
though surround L/R speakers are not.
The optimizer microphone was unplugged
during the "automatic setup" procedure.
The optimizer microphone does not detect
test tones.
The "automatic setup" procedure was
cancelled due to user activity.
An internal error occurred.
Remedy
Connect the supplied optimizer microphone
to the OPTIMIZER MIC jack on the front
panel.
Unplug the headphones.
Select the desired check items.
Set "Memory Guard" to "Off".
Remedy
Check the front L/R speaker connections.
Check the surround speaker connections.
Check the presence speaker connections.
Connect the surround back speaker to the
SURROUND BACK (SINGLE) speaker
terminal if you only have one surround
back speaker.
Perform the automatic setup in a quiet
environment.
Turn off noisy electric equipment like air
conditioners or move them away from the
optimizer microphone.
Connect surround speakers when you use
surround back speakers.
Connect the supplied optimizer microphone
to the OPTIMIZER MIC jack on the front
panel.
Check the microphone setting.
Check the speaker connections and
placement.
The optimizer microphone or OPTIMIZER
MIC jack may be defective. Contact the
nearest Yamaha dealer or service center.
Perform the automatic setup again.
