„ Se il carica batteria è regolato su MIN ed è collegato ad
una batteria ben carica, l'amperometro può anche non
indicare nulla.
„ Mentre la batteria si ricarica, la corrente indicata diminuisce
gradualmente sino a dare una lettura costante, indicando
così che la batteria è carica.

La corrente assorbita da una batteria da ricaricare
dipende dallo stato della stessa. Per i modelli con le
regolazioni di carica scegliere la corrente di carica
più vicina al 10% della capacità della batteria. (es.
carica a 4 Amp per una batteria da 40 Amp./ ora.
Verifica che la capacità della batteria (Ah) non sia più bassa
di quella riportata sul caricabatterie (C-Min).

Quando la batteria è carica e si nota la formazione di bolle
nel liquido elettrolita è consigliabile terminare la carica
per non danneggiare la batteria.
Carica di batterie sigillate MF, GEL, AGM
Nelle batterie sigillate è impossibile aggiungere il liquido
elettrolita. Per utilizzarle al massimo della loro vita prevista,
evita di sovracaricarle.
Utilizza una carica lenta e controlla spesso la tensione ai poli
della batteria con un normale tester.
Interrompi la ricarica quando la tensione raggiunge i 14,4 Volt
per batterie da 12 Volt; 7,2 Volt per le batterie da 6 Volt; 28,8
Volt per le batterie da 24 Volt.
Il carica batterie non è dotato di fine carica automatico
e deve essere scollegato a carica ultimata, per non
danneggiare la batteria.
Fusibile di protezione contro i corto circuiti e le inversioni
di polarità **
Il fusibile interrompe il circuito elettrico quando si verifica un
sovraccarico che può essere causato da un corto circuito
delle pinze, oppure degli elementi della batteria, oppure a
causa di un collegamento invertito ai poli della batteria (+,-).
Assicurati sempre che la polarità sia corretta per non
creare danni alle persone od alle cose.
Scollega il carica batterie dalla rete elettrica prima di
sostituire i fusibili.

Il carica batterie è dotato di un termostato a ripristino
automatico che interviene spegnendolo e riaccendendolo,
in caso di sovraccarichi termici dannosi per lo stesso
apparecchio.
** Queste funzioni possono non essere incluse su alcuni
modelli.

Battery charger

WARNING STICKER
Before putting into operation for the first time,
attach the supplied sticker in your language on
the battery charger.
Carefully read this manual, and both the
instructions provided with the battery and
the vehicle in which it will be used before
charging.
Overview and warnings
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children
without supervision.
This battery charger can be used to charge lead-acid
batteries of the following types only:
D WET cells: Sealed, with liquid electrolyte inside. Low
maintenance or maintenance free (MF), "AGM", "GEL".
„ Never attempt to charge batteries that cannot be recharged
or other types than those indicated.
„ Never charge frozen batteries that might explode.
For indoor use only.
WARNING: EXPLOSIVE GAS!
„ Batteries generate explosive gas (hydrogen) during normal
operation and even greater quantities during recharging
Avoid creating flames or sparks.
„ The battery charger has components such as switches
and relays that may create sparks. If the product is used in
a garage or similar places, position it adequately far from
the battery; it should not be inside the vehicle or the engine
compartment.
„ To avoid creating sparks, make sure that the clamps cannot
get detached from the battery terminals when the battery is
being charged.
„ Never let the cable clamps touch each other.
„ It is strictly forbidden to reverse polarity when you connect
the clamps to the battery.
Make sure that the plug is unplugged from the
socket before connecting or disconnecting the
cable clamps.
Provide adequate ventilation during charging
„ Always wear safety goggles closed at the sides, acid-proof
safety gloves, and acid-proof clothing
