PRODUCT SETUP

ACCess Point MoDe

By default, the dIR-516 is in access point mode. this allows the dIR-516 to extend a wireless
network or add wireless functionality to an existing network. using this product in access point
mode requires an existing network. If you do not have a network already set up and wish to use
the dIR-516 as a primary router, please see the "Router mode" section below.

Step 1:
connect the usB cable to a usB port on a computer or a usB
power adapter. this will provide power to the dIR-516.
Note: to power down the dIR-516, you must unplug the usB cable.
Step 2:
connect one end of an ethernet cable to the ethernet port on the
dIR-516. connect the other end of the ethernet cable to your router.
this will allow the dIR-516 to connect to your network and utilize
your Internet connection.
