If you are replacing a modem that is currently connected in your home, unplug the modem and plug the new modem router into the same outlet.

    AC1200 WiFi Cable Modem Router Model C6220 Connect to the Network You can connect to the modem router’s network through a wired or WiFi connection. If you set up your computer to use a static IP address, change the settings so that it uses Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).
