    Using the UIM (FOMA Card) The UIM is an IC card that holds your information such as phone numbers. It can hold data such as the Phonebook entries and SMS messages as well. By replacing the UIM, you can operate multiple FOMA phones for multiple purposes. You cannot use the FOMA phone for voice and video-phone calls, i-mode, sending/receiving mail, or packet transmission unless the UIM is inserted.
