ROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Fixture is completely dead.
Fixture resets correctly but does
not respond to controller.
Intermittent flicker or strange
behavior.
Effect fails to reset correctly.
No light.
Lamp cuts out intermittently or
burns out too quickly.

Probable cause(s)
No power to fixture.
Primary fuse blown.
Secondary fuse blown.
The DMX signal is not
transmitted.
The DMX data signal is
reversed.
Incorrect address or other DIP-
switch setting.
Data link not terminated.
One of the fixtures is
transmitting as a master or is
defective.
The effect requires mechanical
adjustment.
Lamp missing or blown
Extreme vibrations.
The operating voltage does not
match AC supply.
Blocked air vent.
Dust buildup inside fixture.

Troubleshooting

Remedy
Check that power is switched on
and cables are plugged in.
Replace fuse.
Contact Martin technician for
service.
Connect controller. Inspect
connections and cables. Correct
poor connections. Repair or
replace damaged cables.
Insert a phase-reversing cable in
the link before the fixture.
Check DIP-switch settings.
Insert termination plug in output
of the last fixture on the link.
Bypass one fixture at a time
until normal operation is
regained: unplug both
connectors and connect them
directly together. Have the
defective fixture serviced by a
qualified technician.
Contact Martin technician for
service.
Disconnect fixture and replace
lamp.
Relocate fixture away from
speakers.
Contact Martin technician for
service.
Increase clearance around
fixture.
Contact Martin technician for
professional cleaning.
