IMPORTANT SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
When using your iron, basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
• READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
• Use iron only for its intended use.
• To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the
iron in water or other liquids.
• The iron should always be turned to the minimum (min) setting
before plugging or unplugging from outlet. Never yank cord
to disconnect from the outlet; instead grasp plug and pull to
disconnect.
• Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Let iron cool completely
before putting away. Loop cord loosely around iron when storing.
• Always disconnect iron from electrical outlet when filling with
water or emptying, and when not in use.
• Do not operate the iron if it has been dropped, if there are visible
signs of damage to the iron or its cord, or if it is leaking. To avoid
the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the iron; take it
to a qualified service person for examination and repair, or call
the appropriate toll-free number on the cover of this manual.
Incorrect reassembly can cause a risk of electric shock when the
iron is used.
• Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by
or near children. Do not leave iron unattended while connected or
on an ironing board.
• Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water or
steam. Use caution when you turn a steam iron upside down or
use the surge of steam – there may be hot water in the reservoir.
Avoid rapid movement of iron to minimize hot water spillage.
• The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface.
• When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on
which the stand is placed is stable.
• The iron is not to be used if it has been dropped, or if there are
visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
• To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high-wattage
appliance on the same circuit.
• If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a cord with an
ampere rating equal to or greater than the maximum rating of the
iron should be used. A cord rated for less amperage can result in
a risk of fire or electric shock due to overheating. Care shall be
taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or be tripped
over.

POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit
into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into
the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW
Warning: This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw
to prevent removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk of fire or
electric shock, do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no
user-serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done only by authorized
service personnel.
If the power-supply cord is damaged, it should be replaced

HOW TO USE
This appliance is intended for household use only.
GETTING STARTED
• Remove any labels, stickers or tags attached to the body or soleplate of the
iron.
• Please go to www.prodprotect.com/applica to register your warranty.
Note: Use ordinary tap water for ironing. Do not use water processed through
a home softening system.
Important: For optimum performance, let the iron stand for 90 seconds
before beginning to iron.
FILLING WATER TANK
1. With iron on flat surface with soleplate down, open water-fill cover (A).
2. Tilt the iron and using a clean measuring cup, pour water into opened
chamber until water reaches the MAX level mark on the side of the water
tank. Do not overfill.
3. Close the water-fill cover.
4. Plug in the iron. The power indicator light illuminates.
Note: If you need to add water while ironing, unplug
the iron and follow above steps.
Tip: If unsure of a garment's fiber, test a small area (on
an inside seam or hem) before ironing.
3-WAY AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF
A
The automatic shutoff feature in your iron works as
follows:
• Once the iron reaches appropriate temperature, it will turn off after 30
seconds of inactivity if left on its soleplate or tipped over on its side. If left
vertically on its heel rest, it will shut off after
8 minutes (B).
• The power indicator light starts blinking to let you know that the iron has
stopped heating.
• As soon as you pick up the iron, it will start heating
again. Wait for iron to reheat completely before
resuming operation.

SMART STEAM® TECHNOLOGY
The Smart Steam® system automatically produces
8 minutes
steam when you turn the fabric select dial between
B
settings 4 and 6.
SURGE OF STEAM
Horizontal
Tip: Use to remove stubborn creases.
1. With the water tank filled to the MAX mark, set fabric select dial to
appropriate setting (between 4 and 6) for your fabric. See fabric guide on
water tank and read garment's label to help you determine fabric type.
2. Be sure there is water in the reservoir. Steam is automatically turned off
between settings 0 and 3.
3. For best performance, use surge of steam at 5-second intervals.
4. When finished ironing, turn the fabric select dial to 0 and unplug
the iron.
Important: Always stand the iron on its heel rest when powered on
but not in use.
Vertical
Tip: Use for removing wrinkles from hanging clothes and drapes.
1. Be sure the water tank is filled to the MAX mark.
2. Hang the garment to be steamed on a clothes hanger. (Curtains or drapes
can be steamed once they are hung.)
3. Set the fabric select dial to appropriate setting (between 4 and 6) for your
fabric.
4. Hold the iron close to, but not touching, the fabric.
5. Pull the fabric tight in your free hand and press the button as you move the
iron over the fabric.
USING SPRAY
Tip: Use to dampen tough wrinkles at any setting.
1. Be sure the iron is filled with water.
2. While ironing, press the Spray Mist button to generate the mist at any
temperature setting.
3. On first use, pump the button several times.
ANTI DRIP SYSTEM
The anti drip system prevents water spotting at low temperatures.
DRY IRONING
1. Turn the fabric select dial to setting 1, 2, or 3 to iron without steam.
2. To dry iron at higher settings, empty the water from the reservoir to prevent
steaming.
EMPTYING WATER TANK (OPTIONAL)
1. Unplug the iron and let it cool.
2. To release the water, hold the iron over a sink with the tip pointing down
and to one side. Water will empty out of the water-fill opening.
CARE AND CLEANING
This product contains no user-serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified
service personnel.
CLEANING OUTSIDE SURFACES
Make sure iron is unplugged and has cooled completely. Wipe the sole-
plate and outer surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with water. Add mild
household detergent. Never use abrasives, heavy-duty cleansers, vinegar or
scouring pads that may scratch or discolor the iron.
After cleaning, steam iron over an old cloth to remove any residue from the
steam vents.
AUTO CLEAN® SYSTEM
Tip: To keep the steam vents free of any buildup, follow these instructions
about once a month:
1. Fill the water tank well below the MAX line. Plug in the iron.
2. Turn the fabric select dial to 6 and stand the iron on its heel rest. Allow it to
heat.
3. Turn fabric select dial to 0, unplug the iron and hold over a sink with the
soleplate facing down.
4. Press and hold the AUTO CLEAN® button. Be careful, as hot water
and steam will come out of the steam vents. Continue to hold the AUTO
CLEAN® button until all the water has emptied. If necessary, rock iron
side-to-side and front-to-back.
5. When finished, release the button, stand the iron on its heel rest and plug it
in. Heat for about 2 minutes to dry out any remaining water.
STORING YOUR IRON
1. Unplug the iron and allow it to cool.
2. Check that the selector is set to 0.
3. Store vertically on its heel to prevent water leaking from the soleplate.

IMPORTANTES DE SEGURIDAD
Cuando se usan aparatos eléctricos, siempre se deben respetar

INSTRUCCIONES ESPECIALES
• Para reducir la posibilidad de una sobrecarga eléctrica, no opere
otro aparato de alto consumo en el mismo circuito.
• Si el uso de un cable de extensión es absolutamente necesario,
se deberá utilizar uno con un amperage igual o de más amperaje
que la plancha que se vaya a utilizar. Los cables de menor
amperaje se pueden sobrecalentar. Se debe tener cuidado de
acomodar el cable de manera que nadie lo hale o se tropiece

INSTRUCCIONES
Este aparato eléctrico es para uso
doméstico solamente.
ENCHUFE POLARIZADO
Este aparato cuenta con un enchufe polarizado (un contacto es más
ancho que el otro). A fin de reducir el riesgo de un choque eléctrico,
este enchufe encaja en un tomacorriente polarizada en un solo
sentido. Si el enchufe no entra en el tomacorriente, inviértalo y si aun
así no encaja, consulte con un electricista. Por favor no trate de alterar
esta medida de seguridad.
TORNILLO DE SEGURIDAD
Advertencia: Este aparato cuenta con un tornillo de seguridad para
evitar la remoción de la cubierta exterior del mismo. A fin de reducir el

COMO USAR
Este producto es para uso doméstico solamente.
PRIMEROS PASOS
• Despegue toda calcomanía o etiqueta adherida al cuerpo o a la suela de a
plancha.
• Por favor, visite www.prodprotect.com/applica para registrar su garantía.
Nota: Utilice agua de la llave para llenar el tanque de la plancha. No utilice
agua procesada por un ablandador de agua doméstico.
Importante: Para óptimo rendimiento, se recomienda dejar reposar la
plancha durante 90 segundos antes de comenzar a planchar.
LLENADO DEL TANQUE DE AGUA
1. Posicione la plancha con la suela sobre una superficie plana, abra la tapa
del tanque según la ilustración (A).
2. Incline la plancha y con una taza de medir limpia,
vierta agua en el orificio hasta alcanzar la marca
de llenado MAX en el tanque. No exceda el nivel de
llenado.
3. Cierre la tapa del tanque.
4.Enchufe la plancha. La luz indicadora de

funcionamiento se ilumina.
Nota: Si tiene que agregar agua al tanque durante el planchado, desconecte
la plancha y siga los pasos citados anteriormente.
Consejo: Para evitar daño a las prendas, si desconoce la fibra de cierto
tejido, ensaye primero sobre una superficie pequeña y planche una costura o
ruedo interior.
APAGADO AUTOMÁTICO DE 3 POSICIONES
El dispositivo de apagado automático de esta plancha funciona de la siguiente
manera:
• La plancha se apaga automáticamente si permanece inactiva sobre la
suela o de lado durante 30 segundos después de alcanzar la temperatura
programada. Igualmente sucede si la plancha permanece inactiva
verticalmente sobre el talón de descanso durante 8 minutos (B).
• La luz indicadora de funcionamiento parpadea, indicando que la plancha ha
dejado de calentar.
• La plancha comienza a calentar nuevamente en cuanto uno la levanta.
Espere que la plancha se caliente bien antes de planchar.
TECNOLOGÍA SMART STEAM®
El sistema Smart Steam® produce vapor automáticamente cuando uno
ajusta el selector de tejidos entre el nivel 4 y 6.
EMISIÓN DE VAPOR
Horizontal
Consejo: Apropiado para suavizar las arrugas persistentes.
1. Llene el tanque de agua hasta alcanzar la marca de
llenado MAX y ajuste el selector de tejidos entre el
nivel 4 y 6, según el tejido de la prenda. Consulte la
30 seconds
guía de tejidos en el tanque de agua y lea la etiqueta
de la prenda para determinar el tipo de tejido.

2. Asegúrese de que haya agua en el tanque. La B
emisión de vapor se apaga automáticamente entre el
nivel 0 y 3.
3. Para mejor rendimiento, utilice la emisión de vapor en intervalos de 5
segundos.
4. Cuando termine de planchar, ajuste el selector de tejidos a la posición "0"
y desconecte la plancha.
Importante: Siempre coloque la plancha sobre el talón de descanso
cuando esté encendida o no en uso.
Vertical
Consejo: Ideal para suavizar las arrugas de las prendas colgantes o de las
cortinas.
1. Asegúrese de que el tanque de agua esté lleno hasta el nivel MAX.
2. Cuelgue la prenda que desea vaporizar en un gancho. (Uno puede vaporizar
las cortinas una vez instaladas).
3. Ajuste el selector al nivel apropiado (entre el 4 y 6), según el tejido.
4. Sujete la plancha cerca, pero no en contacto con el tejido.
5. Hale el tejido con una mano y bombee el botón con la otra, a medida pasa
la plancha sobre la prenda.
USO DEL ROCIADOR
Utilice a cualquier nivel de temperatura para humedecer las arrugas persis-
tentes.
1. Asegúrese de que el tanque de agua esté lleno.
2. Mientras tabla, pulse el botón de niebla del aerosol para generar la niebla
en cualquier ajuste de temperatura.
3. Para el primer uso, bombee el botón varias veces.
SISTEMA ANTIGOTEO
El sistema antigoteo evita las manchas de agua que puede ocasionar la
plancha a temperaturas bajas.
PLANCHADO A SECO
1. Ajuste el selector de tejidos a la posición 1, 2 o 3 a fin de planchar sin
vapor.
2. Si desea planchar a seco a temperaturas más elevadas, vacíe el tanque por
completo para evitar la emisión de vapor.
VACIADO DEL TANQUE (OPCIONAL)
1. Desconecte la plancha y permita que se enfríe.
2. Si desea vaciar el agua, sujete la plancha sobre un fregadero con la punta
hacia abajo y hacia un lado.
3. El agua sale a través del orificio de llenado.
CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA
Este producto no contiene partes que el consumidor pueda reparar. En caso
de requerir mantenimiento, envíela al personal de servicio calificado.
LIMPIEZA DE LAS SUPERFICIES EXTERIORES
1. Asegúrese de desconectar y permitir que la plancha se enfríe bien. Limpie
la suela y las superficies exteriores con un paño suave, humedecido
con agua y un detergente doméstico suave. Jamás utilice abrasivos,
limpiadores fuertes, vinagre ni almohadillas de fregar que puedan rallar o
decolorar la plancha.
2. Después de limpiar, planche a vapor sobre un paño viejo a fin de retirar
todo residuo acumulado en los orificios de vapor.
LIMPIEZA AUTOMÁTICA (AUTO CLEAN®)
A fin de mantener los orificios de vapor libres de acumulaciones, siga las
siguientes instrucciones por lo menos una vez al mes:
1. Llene el tanque de agua por debajo de la línea MAX.
2. Enchufe la plancha.
3. Ajuste el selector de tejidos al nivel 6 y coloque la plancha sobre el talón de
descanso. Permita que la plancha se caliente.
4. Gire el selector de tejidos a la posición "0", desconecte y sujete la plancha
sobre un lavabo con la suela orientada hacia abajo. Presione y sostenga el
botón de limpieza automática (AUTO CLEAN®). Tenga cuidado del agua
caliente y del vapor que emiten los orificios de vapor. Continúe sosteniendo
el botón de limpieza automática (AUTO CLEAN®) hasta haber vaciado toda
el agua. Si es necesario, mueva la plancha de lado a lado y de atrás para
adelante.
5. Al terminar, suelte el botón, coloque la plancha sobre el talón de descanso
y enchúfela. Permita que la plancha se caliente unos dos minutos hasta
secar toda el agua sobrante.
ALMACENAMIENTO DE LA PLANCHA
1. Desconecte la plancha y espere que se enfríe.
2. Verifique que el selector de temperatura esté ajustado a la posición "0".
3. Almacene la plancha verticalmente sobre el talón de descanso, a fin de
evitar el goteo a través de la suela.
