POWER SOURCE

AC POWER SUPPLY
After all other connections have been made. Connect the
AC power cord of the system to the wall outlet. The
system will be in standby mode.
INSERTING BATTERIES INTO THE REMOTE
CONTROL
Insert batteries (type R-03 or UM-4 AAA) into the remote
control as shown in the battery compartment.
CAUTION:
• Replace batteries if the remote control fails to work.
• Remove batteries if they are exhausted or not to be
used for a long time.
• Batteries contain chemical substances, so they
should be disposed of properly.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

THE CLOCK SETTING

Before operating the unit any further, first set the unit's
clock.
When you plug in the power cord, "0:00" starts flashing
on the display.
You can set the clock when the unit is in standby mode.
1. When the unit is in standby mode, press and hold
CLOCK/SLEEP until "Clock Setting " appears on the
display with "On" flashing.
2. Press SCROLL/SEARCH DOWN or SCROLL/
SEARCH UP to select either 24 or 12 Hour mode,
then press CLOCK/SLEEP to confirm.
3. Press SCROLL/SEARCH DOWN or SCROLL/
SEARCH UP to adjust the hour, then press CLOCK/
SLEEP to confirm.
When you press and hold SCROLL/SEARCH DOWN
or SCROLL/SEARCH UP, the hour indicator
changes continuously.
The minute indicator starts flashing.
4. Press SCROLL/SEARCH DOWN or SCROLL/
SEARCH UP to adjust the minute, then press
CLOCK/SLEEP to confirm.

When you press and hold SCROLL/SEARCH DOWN
or SCROLL/SEARCH UP, the minute indicator
changes continuously.
The built-in clock starts work.
Note:
When you unplug the AC power cord or if a power failure
occurs, the clock is reset to "0:00" right away. If this
happens, set the clock again.
To show the clock when the unit is turned on
Press CLOCK/SLEEP
• Each time you press the button, the display changes
the clock indication and the normal indication
alternately.

TURNING ON THE POWER

To turn on the unit, press STANDBY/ON. The STANDBY
lamp on the unit goes off.
• When you press the SOURCE button, the unit
automatically turns on.
To turn off the unit (standby), press STANDBY/ON again.
The STANDBY lamp on the unit lights red.
• "0:00" flashes on the display until you set the built-in
clock. After setting the clock, the clock time will
appear steadily on the display while the unit is on
standby.
To switch off the power supply completely, unplug the AC
power cord from the AC outlet.

SELECTING THE SOURCE

To select the source, press the SOURCE button.

VOLUME CONTROL

You can adjust the volume level only while the unit is
turned on.
The volume level can be adjusted between "VOL MIN"
(VOL 1) and "VOL MAX" (VOL 32).
To increase the volume, rotate VOLUME in clockwise on
the unit or press VOLUME
To decrease the volume, rotate VOLUME in anti-clockwise
on the unit or press VOLUME
To turn off the sound temporarily
Press MUTE.
The volume level turn down and "Muted" starts flashing
on the display.
Playback will continue without sound and "Muted" will be
flashed.
To restore the sound, press MUTE again.
Note:
Adjusting the volume level also cancels the muting.

SELECTING THE SOUND MODES

You can select one of the 4 sound modes.
• This function also affects the sound from headphones
or speaker boxes.
To select the sound modes, press EQ-BASS repeatedly.
• Each time you press the button, the sound mode
changes as follow:
