Requesting Status Information after
Submitting the Job
To display status information about your job after you have submitted it,
enter the pdq command and identify the logical printer to which you
submitted your job. The command then displays status information
about all the jobs (submitted by you) in the queue associated with the
logical printer to which you submitted your job. The following examples
show how you can request status information after submitting a job.
To request status information about jobs you submitted to your default
logical printer, enter:
pdq
To request status information about jobs you submitted to logical printer
LogPrt4, enter:
pdq -p LogPrt4
HPDPS displays information similar to the following about all your jobs
in the queue associated with the logical printer you specified.

In the first job listed, the local job identifier is 13 and the global job
identifier is spl4:1104221000; the server name is spl4. File1 is the
job name and there are no jobs ahead of it in the queue. Logical printer
LogPrt4 has assigned your job to physical printer PhysPrt1. HPDPS is
processing the job, as indicated by Current State.

to which the job has been submitted.
