• The flash is always off when the Capture mode is set to C,
Continuous shooting, Infinity-Landscape, or Fireworks.
• When using the flash, it always discharges once before taking the
picture, to assist with metering.
• In Auto + red-eye reduction or Flash On + red-eye reduction, the flash
discharges once before taking the picture to make the iris of the
subject's eyes contract, shortly before firing again to take the picture.
• The shutter speed will be slower with the flash off, or in low light
conditions such as a night scene. Use a tripod to prevent camera
movement.
