Settings
Settings can be made with the following procedures.
(Network Wizard) icon: click to display Wizard
instructions for making the settings.
(Detailed View) icon: click to display a dialog
box with [TCP/IP], [DNS] and [SMTP [EMail] ] tabs
that you can select to make corresponding settings.
Settable contents are shown in the following table.

• BOOTP and DHCP cannot be changed with the
"Network Wizard".
• BOOTP and DHCP cannot both be enabled at the
same time.
• Do not make DNS settings if a PPP connection is
used for e-mail.
Setting the IP Address Notification Method
When the IP address of the video network station has
been changed by DHCP, information regarding the
new IP address can be sent as a notification by the
selected IP address notification method.
The notification method is set in the "Dynamic IP
Address Notification" dialog box. This can be
displayed by clicking the
and then clicking the [Config] button on the [TCP/IP]
tab of the "Network Settings" dialog box.
The following settings are available.
HTTP
An HTTP GET request is sent to the specified URL,
where the information is processed by a CGI script on
the server that receives the request.

Enabled
Enables notification by HTTP.
Disabled
Disables notification by HTTP.
URL
Specifies the URL of the script to
process HTTP GET requests.
Custom
Optional parameters. Enter the

character string of the encoded URL,
prefixed by an ampersand ("&")
character.
User Name
If the CGI script is password-protected,
enter the user name.
Password
If the CGI script is password-protected,
enter the password.
Proxy
When connecting to a host specified
by the URL through a proxy server,
enter the IP address of the proxy
server.
Port
Enter the port number used by the
proxy server.
Proxy User
If a user name is required to connect
to the proxy server, enter the user
name.
Pass
If a password is required to connect to
the proxy server, enter the password.
