FOMA Card Operational Restriction Function The FOMA card operational restriction function is a security function to protect your data and files. When you download data from sites or Web pages or receive files attached to i-mode mail, the FOMA card operational restriction function is automatically set.

<Volume> Adjusting the Earpiece Volume Default setting Level 4 Use this procedure to adjust the earpiece volume to a setting between “Level 1” (quietest) and “Level 6” (loudest) during a call. ● If you adjust the volume during a call or while the FOMA terminal is in stand-by mode, the adjusted setting is retained after you complete the adjustment.

<Record message> Having the Caller Leave a Message Default setting Record message: OFF Answer message: Japanese 1 Ringing time: 8 sec. When you cannot answer a voice or video-phone call, this function allows you to record a message from the caller on your FOMA terminal.
■ Important Faults, repairs or other handling of the FOMA terminal could erase any recorded messages. NTT DoCoMo accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any such loss of data and users are advised to make a note of the recorded messages as a precautionary measure.
Note ● This function records a message each time you receive a call. When recording is completed, the quick message is canceled. You cannot set “Record message” to “ON”. To have the FOMA terminal automatically record messages, use the “Record message” setting. The Record message function starts up even when Manner mode operation is set to use an “Original”...

What is the Video-phone? The video-phone function can be used between any two phones that support DoCoMo video-phoning, even different ● types of phone. ● DoCoMo video-phoning conforms to the 3G-324M standard set down in the international 3GPP standards. Your FOMA terminal cannot connect to a video-phone terminal that uses a different system from DoCoMo video-phones.
Making a Video-phone Call ● Video-phone calls can also be made using the DoCoMo “WORLD CALL” international telephone service. → P. 55 Dial the phone number starting with the other party’s area code. Note ● You can still receive SMS during a video-phone call. If the “Recharge battery” low-voltage alarm appears on the display during a video-phone call, the other party sees the “Camera Off” message and ● the call is disconnected roughly 20 seconds later.
