Troubleshooting
Before contacting the Service department, you should
attempt to correct any errors yourself:

No dial tone; no calls
can be made.
No radio connection

for example, but no

Possible cause
Handset not switched
on.
Battery empty.
Cordless EM is being
used by other users.
The handset is outside
the radio range of the
base stations; radio
signal too weak.
The handset is not
registered.
Excessive delay
between synchronisa-
tion attempts.
The handset is
blocked.

Remedy
Press the on/off
key.
Replace the battery
with a spare battery or
charge the battery.
Try again later.
Move into radio range,
change location.
Log on the handset.
Switch off handset
and switch it back on
again.
Open the battery
compartment lid
(arrow) and close it
again.
