USE
Programmed playback
Programmed playback determines the CD track playback
order.
Note: Programmed reading is available for audio CDs only
(excluding MP3 files).
Clearing the program
To delete a program, select CLEAR then press ENTER to
validate.
CONVERTING AN AUDIO CD TO MP3 FORMAT FOR THE
USB PORT
The appliance can convert the audio tracks of a normal CD
to MP3 format and save them on a USB device connected
to the side of the appliance.
Procedure:
• Connect a USB device at the unit.
• Insert an audio CD in the DVD player.
• When playback starts, press SUBT/CD RIP: the CD
Ripping menu is displayed on the screen.
• Select "TRACKS".
• Select the tracks to convert on the right side and press
ENTER to confirm.
• Press "START" on the screen to start the conversion.
• Press "CANCEL" in the menu to stop converting the
CD.
The appliance will continue to read the audio tracks while
the MP3 formats will be saved to the RIPPING folder on the
USB device. The bar on the screen shows the progress.
When the conversion is done, press QUIT in the menu.
To play the converted tracks, press DVD/USB.
Note: This function is only available for USB devices, not for
memory cards.

USB devices (e.g, USB flash drive, external hard drive,
etc.) (not provided)
The device has a USB port to allow reading music files
(MP3), images (JPEG) and videos (.avi) from a USB flash
drive.
• No disc must be being played.
• To access a USB port, press the lower part of the USB
port cover (9).
• Connect the USB flash drive to the port.
• Press DVD/USB then choose USB mode using s or w,
then press ENTER.
• USB flash drive files will be displayed on the screen.
The playback functions are the same as for a CD. Refer to
the section corresponding to the type of files to be played.
Note:
• You can change the mode "USB" to "DISC" and vice
versa by pressing DVD/USB, only if no disc is being
played.
• Do not touch the USB key whilst files are being read as
this may damage them.
• It is recommended that key content is backed up to
avoid data loss.
• ATTENTION: Use 16 GB USB flash drives only. The
reader does not work with all USB devices (external
hard drives for example.)
