Image quality and image processing The i30/i40 Scanners offer excellent “true color” image quality which allows the scanner to be used for image processing applications such as desktop publishing. This begins with high-quality mirrors, lenses, and a 5340-element color CCD that captures 24 lines/mm at 600 dpi.
Auto crop dynamically adjusts the cropping window for different document sizes. Based on the edges of the image detected, the i30/i40 Scanner dynamically detects the boundaries of the document and only delivers the actual document to the end user. Auto cropping for a page accurately occurs anywhere within the imaging window of the transport.
