Switching on the appliance

S When the appliance is connected,
it switches on and the green display,
Fig. 2/4, is lit.
S If the red display is lit, Fig. 2/3, this
indicates that the temperature in the
appliance is too warm; do not put frozen
food in the appliance until the red
display goes out.
Selecting the temperature
The temperature selector has been set
to setting 4 at the factory.
To change the setting, rotate the
temperature selector. Fig. 2/2
Position 1: highest temperature
Position 6: lowest temperature
Attention: Temperature changes do not
take effect straight away.
Operating tips
S When the appliance is switched on,
the temperature for the freezer
compartment is automatically set to
approx. -18 °C if no temperature has
been input.
S If the lid cannot be immediately opened
again when the chest freezer is closed,
wait two to three minutes until the
resulting low pressure has equalised.

Warning messages

Temperature alarm
If the temperature in the freezer compart
ment becomes too warm (approx.-9 °C)
and the frozen food is at risk, the alarm"
display is lit. Fig. 2/3

Pull out the mains plug or switch off the
fuse.
Disconnecting
the appliance
If the appliance is not used for a prolonged
period:
1. Pull out the mains plug or switch off
the fuse.
2. Defrost and clean the appliance.
3. Leave chest freezer lid open.
