Discharging Static Electricity from the Stock
Static electricity is generated by the printing process and paper stocks sliding in and out of
contact with each other. This may cause some paper handling problems as below:
Multiple sheet feeding
Cut waste not falling into the Waste Collection Box
Cut waste sticking to cutter blades
Erratic stacking in Delivery Tray
It is important to reduce the amount of static electricity in your card stock.
For laser printed stock, wait for 15 minutes before cutting to allow static to discharge.
Keep air between printed stocks to help static to discharge.
Do not stack printed cards too high.
Ideal operating conditions for the least amount static is above 50% humidity.
Make sure that your Zip21A is earthed.
